Don't worry..Apply for EAD replacement Card immediately...You can work for 90 days based on EAD replacement Receipt Notice.

I lost my renewed EAD. It was approved for 2 years. My license is expiring in SEP 30th. Can I submit AP in DMV for status check. If I applying EAD for lost card, Can I at least submit receipt notice? I dont think I wont get replaced card before SEP 30. Please help me. I am not in H1B status.

I am totally lost on what to do.
I read in the other post that if PD become current in the bulleting then Iwill be in trouble if I have not filed for spouse. I am lost with this !!

Hi All,
I opened a service request with USCIS when my I485 was current in 09/08 and i got response saying that still investigation into my background remains open, so the case is not yet ready for decision. I filed my I 485 in August 2005 and in july 2007(then my file was current) also i was told that the background check is still going on.
Now we know that if it has been more than 180 days after we file I485, no need to wait for background check to process the petetion. My intention is to get my file out of this loop by the time PD becomes current. If any one had this issue and got it resolved, please advise me how i can handle it.

Certain felonies make a person inadmissible, which means no Green Card may be issued for such a person for either 15 years of indefinitely. You need to be more specific. Crimes of moral turpitude are inclusive. There are some limited waivers for some, but not all grounds of inadmissibility.

I don't know the solution to your problem but I was listening to NPR the other day and they were talking about unknown organizations just trying to catch unawares by getting money up to $4K in promise of filing paperwork to get their family from Haiti to the US.

Hi,
I have applied for I-140,I-485 and I-765 on 16th of Aug'07,dint get the receipt yet. I would be leaving to India this month and would return only in Feb'08.
My major concerns are:
1. once I get the notice for FingerPrints, can I reschedule it to Feb'08.
Is it advisable.
OR
2. Do I have an option of getting my FingerPrint done at any consulate in India.
Any help would be appreciated.

A month back a new company had filed a H1 transfer & I started working for them. Now I have 2 paystubs from this new company & I am getting a very good offer from another company & I would like to go for this offer. So my question is on the basis of these two recent paystubs can I get my visa transferred to the 3rd company while another visa transfer is in progress?

I am exactly in the same position as you. Jul 07 filer, and got married after that so my wife is on H4.
Just recieved my 10 - 12 year extension in August for H1b being valid till July 2012.

I was H1B, but used AP return to the U.S. the same company, but when I filed the new I-9 form after return, the company lawyer asked me to write EAD and EAD expiration date, so I guess I am AOS now? or not? I am not sure. My company will resume my H1B this month, but don't know when it will be completed.
Now I am going to e-file EAD renew.There are some questions in the form I-765 that I am not sure how to answer (The lawyer has completed his 140 and 485 document, so he doesn't want to answer now.):
1, Manner of Last Entry into the U.S.: Should I choose PAR (PAROLEE) or H1B (SPECIALITY OCCUPATION)?
2, Status: Should I choose PAR (PAROLEE) or H1B(SPECIALITY OCCUPATION)?
3, Please select your eligibility status : Should I choose (a) (4) PAROLEE or (c) (9) FILED I-485?

Hello everyone,
My driver's license has come up for renewal in Feb 2009. I have 2 yrs EAD.I have send my H1 for renewal but it has not got yet approved..
My employer suggessted that I use my EAD card to get my license renewed. In Ideal case I would like to use my approved H1 to renew my license. However since its taking time for my H1 renewal can I use my EAD card to get my license renewed.

I have an approved H1B for teaching Maths, but I got an offer for teaching ESL (I am certified in both the subject). Am I allowed to teach ESL also? Is the visa subject specific?

What title they used in your labor certification? Did they explicitly mentioned as MATHS in LCA?
Unless and until you are working in the same professional, as the one filed in your LCA, you should be good. Suppose if they filed for a teacher and you are working as a programmer, then it becomes the technical violation of your LCA.
Though you want to teach ESL, as you are still teaching some thing, it should be good.

I recently applied and got my schengen visa. My case was pretty similar to yours. You should be able to use your AP document to apply for visa. They will also request you to show your travel itinerary. I do not see any problems if your return date on the travel itinerary is before your AP expiry date.

I am in a worst scenario , just changed a job couple of months ago. I have labor and I-140 approved from Company A. I have even paid $6000 to company A to sponsor my GC and $5500 for a visa transfer. After joining company B i didn't start labor again. Begging Company A to give an employement letter , they have even cancelled my H1b visa so I can't join them back unless i pay H1b visa transfer fee and a pay-cut. Wondering if it is even worth it ?
