Can someone please explain what is Form G-639 for . I googled on G-639 but it seems my case fits more on cases when this shouldn't be used. Please please someone please try to understand. All I have is my SSN and all I know is my I-140 is being filed and approved. I don't have the SRC number.

I have my old employer visa and I-94 valid till mid next year. My new employer had filed a H1 extension with CSC which was denied but I got a H1 approval notice without I-94 stub. I was told by my attorney to go to canada and get a new I-94 card as I have a visa stamped which expires july of 2011. Being in west coast, I was planning to go to vancouver. Any one been through this, please post your experiences.

Change is yet to come !!! I do not think, he really put his all or this was one of the agenda with higher priority. Just my 2 cents ! It is just another blame game

Sorry to hijack your thread but I didnt want to start multiple threads on the same issue, along similar lines where can I find the actual law on H1B portability on I 140.
I have a offer but the immigration dept of the company says it cannot be done so I need to send them some documentation.

I am currently using EAD. My I-485 is pending status. I am planning to get married in India soon. She will be in India as I can not bring her on H4 and student visa is difficult. So dilemma is about 485 name addition. Can I add spouse's name in I-485 application whenever Priority Date is current?
If yes, then how does it work? I mean is it possible at all?

As far as I know, USCIS considers CP as abandonment of I485 app. I am not sure you will be able to convert back to I485 again. Also, I think you will lose all your AP/EAD benefits. Check with a lawyer tho.

I am currently on H1B, and my current company is not willing to sponsor me for GC. I am in my 5th year. I have found another company who has agreed to hire me and start my gc process, however, I am in a fix. This new offer is in CA and I am currently in NJ (+ my family)
I don't want to take this option unless it is absolutely necessary. My spouse, has the I-140 approved and not yet filed I-485. PD is Jan 04, EB3.
What are my options?
How many months left for you in fifth year? You need atleast 6 months to join another company so that they can do all the necessary steps in those 6 mnths before they file PERM. Are you trying to transfer to consultancy or full time employer?

I live in New jersey and send my EAD renewal to Nebraska based on my I-485. When i read the instructions, I found out that the application has to go to Texas based to the state where i am in now.

I've just run a test - only when I update the control dimensions does the opacity interpolate correctly - what do I have to do to get this working without changing the entire control? Do I have to target the layoutroot and then set the propertytarget to the path of the child control of layoutroot to get the opacity anim to work?

labor is indeed more than 1 year old. Are you completely sure about this rule since having an approved 140 gives you a 3 year extemsion
Yes, unfortunately you are not eligible for I140 premium processing as you can extend your H1 beyond 6 yrs based on labor > 1yr old.
USCIS opened this premium processing for a VERY narrow group of people: "who can not extend H1 visa beyond 6 yrs by any other means, who are currently on H1 status". However, due to this very narrow inclusion criteria, they have received a very few premium processing requests (as most people either have older labor or are in different status by now). And they LOVE money, so they will soon come up with broader premium processing, (probably in october or so when new fiscal year starts when they usually go in "hibernation")

hi, first, I'm not trolling. I have a genuine question and I'm looking for answers seriously. I got laid off in 2009 while on a h1b and then for one reason or another, stayed back for 8 months. My understanding was that I could have gotten a new job within 6 months and then switched over my h1b. I was foolish. My I-94 on the h1b approval letter however had an expiration date of October 2011. By the time 8 months had gone by, I decided it was time to give up hope and return to my country.
Since I've been here, my parents have started a campaign to get me a bride. Arranged marriages are part of my culture, and people marry based on how good a match it is according to one's birthchart. If I do find a USC who is willng too marry me, will it help me in any way immigration wise? Or will my 8 months out of status stay in USA chase me for the rest of my life?
Already I have answered your question. the onus is on you to prove that you are not marrying for GC or USC and your marriage is genuine. If the US consulate or USCIS becomes suspicious..they wont give your any chance...no matter what. There are cases where one married to the USC and have US born kids...still not able to get the GC and facing deportation and spending good amount time with attorney and immigration court.

Titles doesn't have to match exactly as long as it is in same/similar occupation.
