The radiation dosage from any properly maintained active scanner is still orders of magnitude less than what you get from a 4-hour flight at 10 km. Go ahead and opt out of your full-body scans... if you're doing it for the "health" reason you're tilting at a very small windmill.

You're kidding, right? Besides the fact that all are different teams, Logic has had FAR less development than Aperture as well as most other apple apps (with the obvious exception of Soundtrack Pro, which hasn't had a single improvement in over a year, and has always run like crap). I'd kill to see Logic development moving at the speed of Aperture.

It's probably been figured out by now, but you can remove your vote (whether positive or negative). Just click the button that you previously clicked to remove your rating. Lets say you clicked +1 but now you want to take that back to make it 0, just press +1 again to undo it.

Sure BluRay has more capacity to this point BUT I've watched several things on both a Toshiba HD-DVD and a Samsung BR player and everytime I come away with the same impression - HD-DVD simply looks better. Same TV (a Samsung LCD). I've read several reviews in home theatre mags too - the general consensus seems to be (from what I have seen) that Samsung messed up and their player needs some work. Similarly - the HD-DVD camp seems to have picked better transfers for their premier discs which is helping them along.
Add to this that HD-DVD players are half to one third the cost of a BR player and all the "on-paper" advantages for BR are starting to disappear. I'm not surprised if Apple is hedging their bets....

That's a very public beta which has been steadily improved over that time (the last update was yesterday). Unlike Apple, Adobe haven't charged for the beta experience. Amusingly, some of the top new Apple "innovations" are clones of Lightroom features.

In fact, now they have rebranded it Adobe "Photoshop" Darkroom, it leads me to believe it will be included as part of Photoshop and not as a seperate product. This might also be why they haven't released it yet, since the next version of Photoshop isn't finished. This strategy would undercut Apple since most photography professionals undoubtedly already own Photoshop and will upgrade.

I find it great that they are doing this... in so far as it illustrates what their testing shows, that the iPhone 4 is not the only phone to have "antenna issues"
I don't see Apple as using this in an advertising campaign, just that they are backing up their claims and research with true visual evidence
If they were acting immaturely, they would have just left it at "well, everyone else has the problems like this too" and not offer up any data, evidence, etc to back up their claim.... It is very similar to a vocal majority on this site saying "Apple's antenna design is defective" and "All iPhone 4's are defective" as well as "Every iPhone 4 loses reception just by touching it"... no hard data showing that ALL phones are defective or that the antenna doesn't work...

Yes, they are not compliments, but just comments. You can't really call that harassment, which is what you said. Its fine that you enjoy your apple products, but when you start a thread called "so many people envy iphone 4 owners," and claim other smartphone users are jealous of you because they cant afford an iphone (when android/palm/win7 phones cost about the same), then it seems a bit more fanboy-ish and snobby. Just don't say things like "people say things to me about such and such, so they must be jealous of me."

I'm not saying this phone is perfect, plenty of people have asked me about the pros and cons and I've told them, this might sound odd but I don't really understand the concept of being a fanboy over a phone. I mean, its just a phone. However, when people don't stop with the snide remarks and are constantly trying to compete when you don't care, it becomes somewhat annoying. I'm not saying that all other smart phones owners are jealous of my iPhone, I think we can all agree thats nonsense.
However there do seem to be people that are quick to compete and show their resentment for Apple when they see others with iPhones, the majority of comments in this thread confirm that.

iPhone is a great target because of the "holier than thou" culture that Steve Jobs helped create. And now they come out with a phone with a shatter-prone back, flat/square as a brick, still retains the small 3.5" screen and the antenna problems. This is all excellent fuel for the haters.
Even with all that it's still the best phone out there, but the 4 is an even easier target and it's starting to wobble on it's pedestal. Now, when you pull out an iPhone 4, you can expect "oh, you got one of those."
You can thank Apple for making this all worse with it's stupid design decisions on the iPhone 4. They have a chance to fix a lot of this come June.

GNOME 3 looks like more of an OS X copy than Windows 8
Gnome desktops always looked more Mac-esque because of the menubar being at the top of the screen. It actually functions a lot differently than OS X despite the similar appearance.

I understand that the plans have to be submitted to local planning authorities for architectural and engineering reviews, etc. but I think I'd be a little upset at even the rough floor plans making it out on the web out of concern for personal safety. :eek:
I would hope that there are some elaborate physical security features as part of the build out. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why it's a relatively modestly sized home on a comparatively large lot size...a physical buffer zone.
